Meet Lauren
Hello and WELCOME to Love the Bluegrass!

My name is Lauren and I want to show you why Kentucky is the BEST place to live.
I love finding new adventures in Kentucky to explore with my boys, Wilson (6) & Sam (4). Whether it's hiking at the Gorge, finding the best park, or searching for ice cream, we're always on the the hunt for more fun!

I pride myself on shopping local and supporting the small businesses. They are the bread and butter of Kentucky. From the moment I wake up and drink my Creative Coffees in a Dirty South Pottery mug to cooking up a quiche with Southern Songbird Farm eggs and Farmer's Market veggies. Then, whipping up dinner with locally sourced meat and a glass of Harkness Edwards Vineyards wine. Every day, I use locally made goods and foods.

You may have seen me out and about singing acoustically or with my band in Central Kentucky. We play at local wineries, festivals and restaurants. If you love 90's-today country and a good singing in your shower kind of ballad, you'll love us! During the day, I am an insurance agent and love meeting the people of Clark County!

I'm married to a special education teacher and we met coaching Special Olympics with the STRIDE Program, which is still a program close to our hearts in Winchester, KY.

Some of my favorite things include a good red blend wine, binge watching Gilmore girls for the 100th time, going to my family farm, hunting, COFFEE, knitting, photography, baking bread, and planning all the things.

On the blog, you'll quickly find out my favorites, enjoy some good locally sourced recipes, and find out even more reasons to love the bluegrass!
